What to do in East Bali

During your stay at Jasri Ombak, you're welcome to enjoy the grounds, gardens and pool, and mingle with other guests.

We can organise a range of on-site services, including massages and beauty treatments, to help you relax and enjoy your stay.

If you feel like getting out to explore on your Bali holiday, we can help you arrange transport, private drivers, tours, and plenty of other enriching activities.

East Bali is filled with great places to eat, shop, get out in the sunshine, and learn about the local area.

It's the perfect place to explore. Here are some ideas to get you started.

Day trips and towns to visit

Go white water rafting at Telaga Waja River.

Surf at Jasri Surfing Beach or Keramas Beach.

Visit Pasir Putih Beach, the White Sand Virgin Beach.

Take a day trip to the seaside village Amed, where you can go snorkeling, diving among shipwrecks, or get out on the water for an ocean tour.

Amed has a great range of beach bars, restaurants, day spas and shops.

Visit Ubud, known as the Bali centre for art, craft, and literature. Make sure you try a Luwak coffee - also known as a “cat-poo-chino” - at one of Ubud's many restaurants.

If you're feeling game, get amongst the monkeys at Ubud's Monkey Forest.

Feeling extra adventurous? Rent a two-wheeler and drive the twisting coast road from Amed to Jasri Bay.

Catch a ferry from Padang Bai Harbour to check out the beaches and restaurants on the Gili Islands or Lombok Island.

Culture and history

Some Bali visitor attractions request a small donation upon entry.

See the rice terraces at Sidemen Village or traditional salt farms at Kusamba beach.

Stroll the traditional Balinese village Tenganan Pegringsingan and browse local arts, crafts and textiles.

See traditional gamelan instruments made at Tihingan Village.

Be awed by the majestic (religion) Besakih Temple, Goa Laweh Temple, or Lempuyang Temple.

Take in the scenery and splendor at the Tirta Gangga Water Gardens, Klungkung Water Palace, or Bali Ujung Water Palace.

Wander along the Lotus Lagoon in the middle of Candidasa, or Blue Lagoon Beach near Padang Bai.

Tours and experiences

Take a Balinese Cooking School course at Kebun Impan Hotel in Seraya.

Tag along with a local fisherman for ½ or full day fishing trips, then cook your catch in the local style.

Go on a Safari Park tour.

Join in the Alam Cycling Tour, about 3 hours from Kintamani to Ubud.

Browse the museum of works by local artist Nyoman Gunarsa.

Visit Charly’s Chocolate Factory, within walking distance from Villa Matanai One.
